Survey and Audit

Fire Design and Commissioning can conduct surveys of the identified buildings to determine the level of compliance to the current Building Code of Australia (BCA) requirements.

Buildings are required to comply with the Building Code in force at the time of construction, and changes in the code requirements are not applied retrospectively, however this could mean that buildings could comply with the regulations in place at the time of construction, but do not meet current community expectations for safety.

Our approach to many projects is to conduct a visual inspection to identify if fire protection systems or equipment are present, have been altered, damaged or compromised, and are regularly maintained.

This includes a visual inspection of each buildingΓÇÖs

We prepare a report outlining any required upgrade work to achieve compliance with the relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia. The report and drawings provide sufficient information to enable appropriately experienced contractors to carry out rectification work.
